Anika Buckley

Anika Buckley holds a Bachelor of Laws (Hons), Bachelor of Commerce and Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice from the Australian National University. Anika has been recognised as a Family Law Rising Star in the Australian Capital Territory for 2024 in the prestigious Doyle’s Guide.

Following her studies, Anika worked as an Associate to a Federal Court Judge in Brisbane. Since her admission in early 2020, Anika worked at a national commercial firm prior to returning to Canberra to practice exclusively in family law. She has appeared in the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia, and the ACT Magistrates Court.

Anika is passionate about family law. With experience in complex property, parenting and personal protection matters, Anika brings a calm and considered approach to assisting her clients. She delivers tailored and pragmatic advice, strengthened by her excellent research and analytical skills.

Anika understands that relationship breakdown is a stressful time and approaches family law matters with compassion and empathy. Taking the time to get to know her clients and the issues important to them, she builds positive relationships with both her clients and colleagues.

Anika is a member of the Women Lawyers Association ACT, Family Law Section, ACT Law Society and is a committee member of the Family Violence & Children’s Comimittee.
